Brain, Nerve and Spinal Cord Surgery Specialist

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salim Şentürk was born in Trabzon in 1982.

In 2005, he graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine.

Between 2007-2013, he received his specialty training in Brain and Neurosurgery at Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. He completed 4 years of European Association of Neurosurgeons courses. He completed his compulsory service in Çorum Training and Research Hospital between 2013-2014. Between 2014-2018, he worked as a specialist in Neurosurgery at Koç University Hospital. In 2018-2019, he worked on spinal disorders in adult patients at the University of California San Francisco (USA) spine center and in 2019 he worked on spinal tumors at Rhide Island Hospital (Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, USA).

He edited the first book on endoscopic spine surgery in Turkey, which was prepared in Turkish and English with the participation of experienced surgeons from Turkey and around the world. Dr. Salim Şentürk also edited a set of annotated question books (Neuroanatomy, Neurooncology, Neurovascular, Spina, Pediatrics, Functional) in preparation for TND qualification and EBNC exams.

Many surgical techniques related to spine surgery and endoscopic surgery have been published in international journals. Dr. Salim Şentürk has 32 articles published in international refereed journals and 9 articles published in national refereed journals. He is the author of 9 book chapters. Dr. Salim Şentürk has prepared a basic surgical video training set (29 pieces) for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine pathologies.

He has 18 oral presentations presented at national and international meetings and 26 poster presentations published in the proceedings of national and international scientific meetings. He has participated in many national and international meetings and courses.

Dr. Şentürk received the title of associate professor in April 2020.

2019-2024 He worked as a Brain, Nerve and Spine Surgeon at Memorial Hospitals.

2024 -She still serves as a Brain, Nerve and Spine Surgeon in Medera Brain and Spine Center and her own clinic.
